INTERNAL BYPASS

FOX patented internal bypass technology offers position-sensitive damping designed to adapt to any terrain, on and off-road. By strategically placing shimmed ports along the wall of the internal body, oil is allowed to pass around the main piston like it does on our external bypass racing shocks, but in a compact package available in a wide range of sizes and developed for specific applications.

 

BOTTOM OUT CONTROL

Bottom-out control provides additional end-of-stroke compression damping for those really hard hits. Offers up to 30 percent more damping at the final 25 percent of travel. You’ll be comfortable with improved small-bump compliance at the beginning of the stroke, while still maintaining the ability to absorb huge impacts effectively.

 

DUAL SPEED COMPRESSION

The DSC adjuster allows you to fine tune your ride to meet the unique demands your driving style and conditions provide. The low-speed adjuster controls your UTV’s chassis movements during cornering, braking, and accelerating and, it allows you to maximize compliance and traction. The high-speed adjuster helps you resist bottoming out your UTV’s suspension over high-frequency bumps and big impacts.

 

ADJUSTABLE REBOUND

Adjusting the shock’s rebound allows you to fine tune your ride and adjust to different spring rates, terrain, and vehicle speeds. The rebound damping affects how quickly the shock extends (rebounds). It will affect how quickly the vehicle rolls/pitches under acceleration and braking and will also affect how quickly the wheels rebound when travelling through a series of large bumps.

 

DUAL-RATE SPRINGS

Dual-Rate spring set-up is accomplished with two different springs connected by a spring divider that move together until the spring divider contacts the cross-over rings. When this happens, the more comfortable and compliant combined spring rate of the two springs working together transitions to the lower spring becoming the primary spring. Usually, the lower spring is a higher, more supportive spring rate used to prevent bottom outs from large impacts.

    Fox Factory bring the same race-proven position-sensitive damping technology from the trophy truck world and created a direct bolt-on replacement for your UTV / Side-by-Side.

    An increase in the shock bore diameter helps prevent shocks from fading and the velocity-sensitive damping helps generate additional resistance force for constant impacts. Fox keeps the weight down by utilizing aluminum bodies and reservoirs in the construction so you can shave weight without sacrificing performance.  

    When you need to help dial in your suspension the independent high- and low-speed compression adjusters, wide-range rebound adjusters, and a true dual-rate spring package with adjustable crossover rings help you improve your setup for the optimum performance. 

    FOX’s patented Internal Bypass technology (IBP) allows damping control to vary based on where the piston is traveling inside the shock. This means that while the piston is traveling in the middle of the stoke the damping can be lighter to smooth out whoops and rocks while still controlling body roll. Once the piston is running at the bottom of the shock during full compression, the damping is dramatically increased to resist bottoming out even at high speeds over trophy truck size whoops. As the shock extends and the piston reaches the top of the shock, the damping again increases to prevent damage from topping out when all the energy in the springs are unloaded
